Aristotle (384–322 BCE) was an ancient Greek philosopher and one of the most influential thinkers in Western history. A student of Plato and the tutor of Alexander the Great, he made significant contributions to philosophy, science, and literary theory. His Poetics remains one of the foundational works of Western literary criticism.
